Accompanied by lawyer Salvador Panelo, she also claimed Koko Pimentel's negligence in providing support for their children. However, Lobaton dismissed the allegation that Pimentel physically harmed her prior to their separation in 2011. She also denied the rumor that she disclosed Pimentel’s alleged beatings to former Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri. Lobaton stressed she only talked to Zubiri regarding the custody of her children.
“I am trying my best to resolve my differences with my husband, Senator Koko Pimentel, in order to save our marriage not only for my own interest but more importantly for the best interest of the children,” Jewel Lobaton said.
Meanwhile, Jewel also expressed frustration for Pimentel’s failure in clearing her name in the pork barrel scandal. Lobaton allegedly asked some P10 million from Janet Napoles, who supposedly sourced from lawmakers public money for ghost projects. - ABS-CBN news
