A touching incident went viral featuring an elderly man who initially requested a glass of water at a well-known fast food chain but ended up receiving a Chickenjoy meal instead.
According to a customer’s account, the admirable gesture was carried out by a supervisor at the said fast food restaurant, identified as ‘Khel’.
Here’s the full story about a man with a golden heart:
"On Thursday, at 9:50 PM, at Jollibee - Riverbanks, North Triangle, Marikina City, an unexpected event moved me deeply.
Late at night, an elderly man entered, asking for water. He drank two glasses, clearly very thirsty. The supervisor inquired if he had eaten. It was evident that the elderly man was very hungry. I watched him as he ate, finishing two servings of rice and two pieces of chicken—one spicy and one regular.
I quietly took a few photos, ensuring no one noticed. I smiled as I watched the elderly man, seemingly content with his night. At Jollibee, joy truly is the star.
I saw the name ‘Khel’ on the supervisor’s nametag. My vision was blurry, so I almost climbed over the counter just to read it. I didn’t ask the crew, fearing they might think I had a complaint.
I realized that kindness, even in simple acts of asking or giving, has no price. True kindness is done with a pure heart and comes from within. These simple things show that kindness is indeed an important trait of a person," the customer stated.
This act demonstrates that the world is not lacking in people with good hearts who are ready to help without expecting anything in return.
