Alaska Aces wins vs Ginebra Kings on Game 1 (PBA Finals 2013)
The expected predictions of a neck-and-neck battle between Alaska Aces and Ginebra Kings turned out to be an easy win for the Aces in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday,87-70.
The first quarter proved crucial for Alaska’s Game 1 success as it took advantage of Ginebra’s sluggish opening for a 28-6 head start. Alaska dominated right from the start by smothering the Ginebra with stifling defense, limiting the Gin Kings to merely 24 points in the first half.
RJ Jazul led the Aces’ balanced scoring with 16 points, doing the most damage from beyond the arc. Alaska import Rob Dozier added 14, while Sonny Thoss chipped in 12.
