Ginebra coach Alfrancis Chua fined 10K for flashing dirty finger against officials and fans
The PBA officials fined Barangay Ginebra Kings coach Alfrancis Chua for flashing a dirty finger toward officials and fans seated behind the bench of the Alaska Aces in Game 2 of the Commissioner’s Cup finals Friday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
“This is certainly conduct unbecoming of a head coach and offensive to the sensibilities of our fans. Even if allegedly provoked, this type of behavior will not be tolerated by the league,” said PBA commissioner Chito Salud.
The series took a heated turn in the second game, with the two teams exchanging hard fouls. Several players were also talking trash and taunting, for which Alaska guard Dondon Hontiveros has already apologized.
The league has meted Chua a P10,000 fine for his action.
The Gin Kings suffered its second straight loss in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup finals, bowing to the Aces in Game 2, 104-90. Hence, the acess needs only one more win against Ginebra to clinch the championship. - ABS-CBN news, Interaksyon news
