Alaska Aces won Championship, grabbed PBA Commissioner's Cup Title
The Alaska Aces bagged the 2013 PBA Commissioner's Cup after beating Ginebra 104-80 on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The Aces completed a 3-0 sweep against the Gin Kings to capture their 14th PBA championship in franchise history.
This is the first championship of Alaska's Luigi Trillo as a head coach. Trillo took over as the head coach of the Aces after Joel Banal resigned from the position last year.
Meanwhile, Sonny "The Boss" Thoss was awarded the Finals Most Valuable Player after averaging 13.3 points and 10 rebounds in the best-of-5 series. -a report from ABS-CBN news
Prior to game 3, Ginebra coach Alfrancis Chua was fined by PBA officials amounting to Php10,000 for flashing a dirty finger against officials and fans.
